I was looking for something cheap but hot. This product actually gets above 400 degrees, the built in comb is awesome, and it came with a free sample of some hair protectant. I don't have super hard-to-straighten hair, but i usually need at leas 380 degrees to have effectively straightened hair. This straightener is AMAZING for only $12. It arrived on time, in original packaging. I recommend this straightener to anyone! great quality! low price!

This is a great value for the price. The 420 degrees actually isn't quite hot enough, but it's good enough (I have long, thick asian hair so hotter the better). My hair is as straight as an arrow so I actually use a flat iron to curl my hair, give some body (basically works like a round brush). My only complain is the plate isn't long enough (picture is deceiving as it looks long, but is shorter in real life). I have to take more little sections to go through it and it tends to snag my hair (could be where the removeable comb area is, which I removed). I travel a lot so I think this will work good as a travel piece, and I'll spend the money to get the Nano Titanium as it has an extra long plate and higher temp.
